Jake Gyllenhaal on Conan! Source Code premieres! (Again!)

No messing around this morning! We have goodies and they're good ones. First off, Jake Gyllenhaal was on Conan O'Brien's Show last night. You can watch it below and you can also see the entire episode at a certain website that you may be able to work out from the video below.

Something else that took place last night was the LA premiere of Source Code. It also made the British papers. There's a report here from the Daily Mail.*

*I do apologise to the sensibilities of my fellow Brits for linking to this... paper.

There is also some video from the event. No doubt more will turn up.

And finally...

A set of interviews from Screen Team Media:

The Unscripted videos can be seen in the post below. Congratulations to reader Ayda for having her question answered!

Includes pictures from IHJ and Getty.

The Conan interview was cute, I rolled my eyes when he said someone called him ginger beard!!

Source Code is getting 86% positive in rotten tomatoes, probably the highest Jake film since Zodiac. Can't wait for Friday.

And thanks for all the morning goodies ;)

Thanks for the post, Kate. Jake is so funny, I like these beard stories, but I enjoy Jake with less beard better. Right now is actually perfect.

Conan Show is very nice, as usual. I like him and Jake together. That story about bearded men gathering - was funny. And that ginger beard expression is something to remember.
Thank you for keeping us so updated, WDW.
I'm glad that is so many good opinions on Rotten Tomatoes!

The listings for my local cinema have just appeared for Friday so I am on the countdown now til 2pm on Friday.

An exciting week ahead:)

I've still not seen it, Winterbird! Sounds funny :D The great reviews are coming thick and fast - wonderful stuff.

It's a pleasure Mrs JG! Right now is pretty perfect - although I change my mind constantly..

I can't wait to see this, Mermon! I should make beardy Mr WDW watch it too.

They're up at mine too, Carol! I was taking all Friday off for it but things have sort have changed a bit now - thanks to Berlin! - but I've booked my 6pm viewing :)

My review of Rio is now up at Blogomatic3000!

Jake was certainly a busy boy last night. I enjoyed him on the Conan show, and it looks like the premier was fun for everyone. The positive comments on rottentomatoes.com are very enthusiastic and complimentary of both the actors and Duncan Jones. Due to some unavoidable scheduling conflicts I won't get to see it until Monday, April 4. :(

I think I will have to take the day off from work and see it more than once. :)

I was just surfing around and got this post. I must say it was really very interesting post. I found your blog very nice and that's why I have saved it for the future visits.

Jake certainly had a busy night yesterday. I wonder if he did Conan first then did the premiere. He and Michelle looked nice together. One thing I notice about Jake is he loves to say something funny to crack his co star up during these press events. I love it!

I saw Conan and I laughed when he mentioned the beard club he was invited to join in a restaurant he was in.

I do have to say I hope he doesn't join that group again. I love him clean shaven.

thanks WDW for all the goodies

I loved how Jake and the reporter were joking around before they started the interview. One thing I didn't like was how the reporter just got up, abruptly, and left. No handshake, no "It was a pleasure Jake," I thought that was kind of rude. I know if it were me, after I stopped drooling, I'd ask for a hug (or at least a handshake)

when the guy asked him if he could go into someone's body for the last 8 mins of their lives who would he go into. He said MLK and JFK. I wondered if he was thinking Heath?

Bit late to the party as usual but just catching up on recent posts now:)

Have an amazing tme in Berlin girls. Can't wait to hear all about it and see some great pics. I will be there with you all in spirit.

@sweetpea- I had the same feeling. That interview was very good and funny and when reporter left so suddenly it was like he was just doing his job without any pleasure. Jake was so sympathetic, that a handshake would be appropriate. I was even thinking, that maybe he was in rush to the loo :) or maybe he was so charmed by Jake that he'd better avoid physical contact with him. Anyway, it hit me. Cause that are many journalists and Jake is one and he's always so nice and polite to them.

I like what Jake said on Conan - "When you don't shave your face and you're sometimes a man (LOL!).... a beard grows". Isn't that funny? :)

I'm on the fly tonight but just wanted to say thanks for the update WDW! Even after seeing SC once already I'm still counting down the days until Friday - this is definitely a movie one must see more than once (or twice)!

I'm so happy for all of you that can go to Berlin and look forward to the reports! I've been so lucky to have wonderful Jake related adventures and so many here have been excited to hear the details and now I am too so bring it on!! In the meantime I am thoroughly enjoying all the interviews, TV talk show appearances - great stuff!!

I'm off for now... :-)

Hello everyone! Thanks for the comments! I've just got in after a night at the movies so I'll catch up with you in the morning, but wanted to say how nice it is to see you all :)

Reading the comments about the interviewer leaving abruptly, it's very likely he was motioned to do that. These things are run on such tight schedules, there's little time for niceties.

See you in the morning!

Good to know that you will see Jake in Germany, Wet Dark.

I'll wait again to see a movie of Jake in theaters. We have a new release date: June 17.

No, I will not download. I'll wait.

Thanks Monica - I am so sorry to hear of your long wait. I just cannot stand these long staggered releases.

Have a good day everyone! Lots to post again :D

Morning WDW :)
TY for so much great news! I check here for all the videos almost everyday if I miss one. I checked RT after reading your post and SC's rating is up to 89%. YAY!! GO JAKE!!
I'm so happy for him. There are 33 fresh and 4 rotten reviews posted so far!
I can't wait until Friday. It looks like we have a Nor'easter coming in but I don't care! I just have to find my rubber boots. Our weather people are positively gleeful especially since April 1 is April Fools day. :lol
again TY

Your blog looks nice, even so it would be far better if you’ll be able to use lighter colors too as a professional design. This will make sure that a lot more readers come to check it out.Informative post by the way!
