Good news for the GyllenGaards and a WDW Egypt in Oxford Interlude

That must have been quite a Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the Sarsgaard-Gyllenhaal NYC household. Following more speculation in the rag mags, reps confirmed what most of us had suspected for a little while, that Jake will have another niece or nephew to make rubbish pancakes for and push on swings and clamber about on pirate ships with. Many congratulations to Maggie and Peter and to the whole family. No doubt, as we speak, Jake and Peter are scouring the shops of NYC for Maggie's favourite cheesecake.

We don't have any new photos of Jake and so it's good news that we have more new old pictures from IHJ. These photos below were taken at the 2002 Paper Magazine Party for Pedro Almodovar and feature the scarily-eyed Debbie Harry. Many thanks again to IHJ for looking after us all during the Gyllendrought.

Back in December 2010 - almost a year ago if you can believe it - there was much excitement when Jake was seen out having dinner with Bono and The Edge at Sean's Panorama by Bondi Beach in Sydney. There's a link here which demonstrates that even in the same article it couldn't be decided who the girl was with Bono. We have some more pictures from that dinner as well, which allowed Jake to exercise his face muscles while they were still beard-free.

 WDW Oxford in Egypt Interlude

Last weekend, Oxford's famous Ashmolean Museum reopened its Egypt galleries after a few years of renovation. The opening has been all over the media here because it's the largest collection of  Egyptian artefacts outside Egypt. I popped down there today to take a look (and have a piece of cake). Spectacular...

Evening everyone! Back from the turning on the lights ceremony in the village this evening. Very atmospheric. Hope you all had a good day!

Kate, you mean the Christmas lights? It must have been lovely ceremony.
I had a nice day. I was at the cinema today, seeing Breaking Dawn for a second time. I know you don't like it. I enjoyed it, second time more.
I like those Jake's pics with Maggie. They have such a special relationship as a siblings, it shows on photos.
I bought today LAOD and SC DVDs at last.
Now I have a chance to see extras.

Thanks, Kate, for another lovely post. There has certainly been a dearth of photos illustrating the fine art of facial muscle flexing by Our Favorite Actor, and you have filled the void beautifully.

I wonder if the Sarsgaards know the gender of the next bundle of joy already? If it's a boy, I'm sure Jake will have all sorts of advice for handling an older sister. And warnings against being put in the corner to lap milk from a saucer while big sister puts on a production of Cats...

Mermon - I'm so glad you got your DVDs! I saw Breaking Dawn Part 1 twice already, too. It was very enjoyable (my review is up at www.cosmictwinsmedia.com).

Hi Mermon! Yes, it was the Christmas lights and I must say the village did a good job! Oxford's ceremony us on Friday, a much bigger affair with a procession of lanterns. Lovely! So glad you got the dvds! Enjoy them :)

Thanks so much Susan! It is such wonderful news. I love thinking how happy they must all be. Jake must be thrilled. Thanks for the link!

Have a good night!

@Susan"(my review is up at...") So I have to read it!
I have my DVDs ready, if we decide to watch them together one day. :))
Certainly in Gyllenhaal's genes are the chances for a boy or a girl. And Jake would be a great guide for a younger boy/brother for sure.
@Kate - make some pics and post them on our forum!

Oh! These new old pics are lovely! Thanks Kate! <333 :)
We can't see Jake's new photos recently, it means Jake's been enjoying his own life without be annoyed. so it's OK!
I'm looking forward to seeing Maggie's new baby!

Hi @Susan "If it's a boy, I'm sure Jake will have all sorts of advice for handling an older sister." makes me laugh! :D
I agree with you!

Hi @Mermon! Wow! you bought LAOD and SC DVDs!? I really envy you!
Have fun!!

Have a good day, everyone! :)

I have neglected the WDW blog for too long! I've missed you all, and I have a lot of posts to catch up on! I'm so excited for Maggie and Pete, and of course the whole Gyllenhaal clan!

I loved the photos of the Egyptian artifacts! I actually visited Egypt this August for my 30th bday. What a magnificent country. My favorite trip thus far! Thanks for sharing!
